Prof. Raja Rizwan Hussain

Biography:
Prof. Dr. Raja Rizwan Hussain, Professor & Head of Corrosion Lab., CoE-CRT, Civil Engineering Department, College of Engineering, King Saud University, KSA. He received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in 2006 and 2008 in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan which is ranked among Top 20 universities in the world. Dr. Hussain was ranked as outstanding student and was awarded the best research thesis, prize and medal from the University of Tokyo. He was given Furuichi Kimitake Prize, which is the highest award in the entire University. He also completed his Ph.D. in a record short period of just 2 years from a university ranked among Top 20 in the world. He is the editor and board member of several ISI-indexed international journals. He has also served as guest editor for several international ISI-indexed journals. Moreover, he is one of the organizing chairs and member of technical committees for more than 6 dozen international conferences, symposiums and seminars. In addition, he is an active reviewer of many international ISI-indexed journals. He has delivered presentations, lectures and has served as invited speaker, distinguished keynote speaker, session chair etc. in more than 60 countries around the world. Dr. Hussain has received more than 100 medals, awards, prizes and distinctions throughout his research, academic and professional career. He has taught more than a dozen subjects to under graduate, M.Sc. and Ph.D students in five different universities and in four different Countries. Prof. Dr. Hussain has authored more than 250 publications including ISI-indexed journal papers, international conference proceedings, edited books, editorials, expos, invention shows and exhibitions, technical reports etc. He is also an inventor of more than a dozen US, WO & KSA international patents. He has secured more than 25 national and international research grants worth millions of US Dollars. He is an active member of more than two dozen international societies, organizations, councils & committees. His research areas of interest lie in steel reinforced concrete technology - materials & structures, especially corrosion.
Assoc. Prof. Bin Hu

Bin Hu, graduated from the School of Architecture at Harbin Institute of Technology in 2002, majoring in Architecture. He holds a PhD, associate professor, and master's supervisor. He is also the director of the Underground Space Planning and Design Research Institute at Beijing Institute of Technology, a national first-class registered architect, and the deputy chief architect of the school's design institute. Young and middle-aged backbone teachers in Beijing, outstanding talents in the Organization Department. Main research areas: public building design and theory, urban design, underground space planning and design, rail transit and urban integration development, etc. Engaged in architectural design and urban design theory and practice for over 20 years. Responsible for and participated in more than 10 national, provincial, and ministerial level scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission Fund, and the Beijing Municipal Planning and Self Commission Special Topics. Published over 50 papers as the first author, including more than 20 papers in the core journals of Peking University.
